The mission of Morning Star is to point people to the grace of God that we find in Jesus.
We pursue this mission through a vision of:
  • inspirational worship
  • radical inclusion
  • alleviation of suffering
A seven-part worship series called “Un-Bound: Stories that Challenge and Change Us” will continue on Sunday, July 12, 2026, as we connect the plots of classic and popular literature with the central themes of our holy text. The sixth message explores the narrative of “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury and is rooted in 2 Timothy 4:1-5.

You can access the summer reading list for all ages here, https://mstarlc.church/summer-reading-list, but reading ahead is not necessary to participate in worship.

The Children's Moment for Sunday, July 12, will feature the book Librarian of Basra by Jeanette Winter

Contemporary worship will take place in person and online (mstarlc.church and YouTube) at 9:15 AM, and traditional worship will take place in person at 11:15 AM. Both services will include a recognition of Father’s Day, with appreciation for all men who influence our lives, families and communities.

All are welcome!

New on the Storybook Trail: Butt or Face offers kids a delightfully cheeky challenge: examine a close-up photo of an animal, and then guess whether you’re looking at the top or the…um…bottom. The answer is revealed on the next page with a complete photo of the animal!
