It's Time To Get Started

Morning Star is all about community.

We share joy with, carry the burdens of, and stand up for one another.
It’s through connecting with others that God is revealed to us.

From serving our community to downloading the app,
take a moment to explore the many opportunities here at Morning Star.

Inspirational Worship

Worship at Morning Star seeks to inspire and connect you with God and with each other. Participate in the power of music with our contemporary praise band at 9:15, either in-person or through the Online Campus, and with the traditional beauty of our choir at 11:15 on Sundays. You'll hear engaging sermons grounded in the Bible, presented in a way that speaks to life today. But most importantly, you'll find a community that welcomes everyone, creating a space where individuals of all ages and families can come and grow in faith together.

Radical Inclusion

Morning Star embraces radical inclusion as a core value, fostering a community where everyone truly belongs. We champion unity over uniformity, recognizing that our strength lies in our varied backgrounds and perspectives, not in our sameness. Community storytelling is a core feature at Morning Star through our weekly Parables series that stands as a powerful way to foster connection. Our adult Growth Groups and weekly Wednesday Activities for all ages provide supportive environments for authentic relationships for all, and our commitment to online inclusion extends our welcome beyond physical walls, ensuring accessibility for all.

The Alleviation of Suffering

Morning Star is committed to the alleviation of suffering in our community through a variety of ministries. There are so many ways to positively engage with our community through Morning Star, whether it's our twice monthly Food Pantry which offers vital food to local households in need, our monthly Ramp Builds building free ramps for people with mobility issues in the Las Cruces area, our After School Program which provides snacks and support for our friends and neighbors at Camino Real Middle School, or our dedicated Mission Team that actively engages and supports a variety of programs, such as the Border Service Corp.

Community Care

Pastor Amy holds a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she was trained in offering pastoral care and spiritual guidance that prioritizes wholistic care and is grounded in a solid scriptural and theological foundation. She's also a certified facilitator of Prepare & Enrich, a relationship resource for engaged and married couples.

Faith Milestones

Morning Star offers many ways to engage with the many milestones that are part of our faith journeys. For more information regarding these and more, please email us at info@mstarlc.church or call the Church Office at (575)-521-3770.
  • Baptism reminds us that we belong to God and to each other and is open to people of all ages.  Contact Pastor Amy for more information or with questions.
  • The people of Morning Star LOVE Weddings whether it's part of our annual Free Valentine's Day Weddings or a ceremony in the Morning Star Sanctuary.
  • The death of a loved one is not an experience that anyone needs to face alone. At Morning Star, you can find people who will be present with you in grief, assist with planning a Celebration of Life service, cherish blessed memories, celebrate the value of life, and share hope for the future.
  • At Morning Star we believe in doing life together. On the first Sunday of most every month, Pastor Amy hosts First Sundays at 10:30 AM as a time to explore what Morning Star believes, answer questions, and discover ways to deepen involvement.
