January 21: Live Freely, Matthew 11:28–30
Theme: Letting Jesus help carry our worries
Materials: Backpack or bag, paper, crayons or markers

Activity:
  1. Read or summarize Matthew 11:28–30.
  2. Put a few books or items in a backpack to make it heavy.
  3. Have the child lift it, then remove items one by one.
  4. On each item removed, name something that can feel heavy (homework worries, arguments, fear).
  5. Write or draw peaceful replacements (rest, prayer, trust, kindness) on paper and place them in the backpack.
  6. Say together:
“Jesus helps me live freely.”
